with edible dried osmanthus and an illustrated autumn box.
The fragrance that signals autumn
In Japan, people often notice the fragrance of kinmokusei before they see the small orange flowers. Its sweet scent drifting through the air is one of the quiet signs that autumn has arrived.
WACHA wanted to bring that seasonal memory into a bowl of matcha. The result is Osmanthus Matcha, a limited autumn Botanical Matcha.

The blend begins with WACHA GREEN MATCHA, made with Japanese Uji matcha. Osmanthus adds a gentle floral sweetness and a fruit-like nuance, while the subtle peach note already present in GREEN MATCHA supports the finish.
The aim was to keep the green color and distinctive character of matcha at the center of the drink. No synthetic colors or artificial flavors are used.
What WACHA means by Botanical Matcha
WACHA uses the name Botanical Matcha for a series that brings matcha together with plant-based ingredients while preserving the Japanese practice of whisking tea.
The experience includes more than the finished drink. Measuring the powder, adding water and whisking a bowl by hand creates a brief pause in the day. Osmanthus Matcha turns the fragrance of autumn into a seasonal tea ritual.
The 20g tin and flower gift set
Osmanthus Matcha is available as a 20g tin and as a limited gift set.
The gift set includes a 20g tin of Osmanthus Matcha, a small jar of edible dried osmanthus flowers and an illustrated autumn gift box.

The box is decorated with watercolor leaves, acorns and berries. Its double-layered lid features different artwork on the inner panels. Changing the order of the panels changes the design shown on the outside. When the box is opened, the autumn illustration spreads across both sides.
Ways to use the edible flowers
Sprinkle a small amount of dried osmanthus over prepared matcha. The tiny golden flowers create a seasonal contrast against the green surface.
The flowers can also be steeped separately in hot water to make a pale golden osmanthus tea. Layer the tea with matcha in a clear glass, add milk for an Osmanthus Matcha Latte, or top it with coconut cream to create an Osmanthus Matcha Coconut Cloud.

The flowers may also be used with black tea, herbal tea, sparkling water, cocktails and autumn desserts. As a natural botanical ingredient, their color, shape and aroma will vary.
How to prepare Osmanthus Matcha
Use approximately 2g per serving. Mix with a small amount of hot water until smooth, then whisk with a bamboo whisk. A spoon or shaker may also be used.
The blend contains caffeine because it is made with matcha. It also contains peach.
